I ♥ tortilla chips. Salty - crispy - amazing. Let's face it, though - they're not cheap (ok, nothing is cheap anymore...but anyway). So, last night I decided to make my beloved tortilla chips. Ok, don't get too impressed - it's not like I made the dough and everything.
I just took flour (or corn - if you have/prefer) tortilla shells, lightly greased them (both sides) and sprinkled lightly with seasoning (I chose to do half with salt and half with garlic salt). I stacked them all up and cut them up like a pizza - into 8 "slices". Place them in a single layer on a cookie sheet and put in a 400º oven for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes I took them out, flipped each "slice" and then rotated the pans (front to back, top shelf to bottom shelf) and put in for another 5 minutes. Enjoy some amazingness!! Sooo....good!!
Sorry I don't have pictures - last night was a busy night ... MORE ON THAT NEXT WEEK!!
