32 weeks . . .

Monday we had our latest OB appointment. Wes was able to get off work to go with me, which was nice since he's had to miss the last couple due to work! :)
Since we drive an hour to see the doctor for 15 minutes, I always feel the need to shop till I drop afterwards. Let me tell you, the further I get in this pregnancy, the quicker I drop. It doesn't help that it now gets dark between 6:30 - 7pm. :( [I schedule my appointments for anytime between 3:30-4:30p so I don't have to leave work too early and take any personal time.]
So, after an uneventful appointment [which is good - BBB is measuring right on track!], we hit up Wendy's [ummmm...hello! They have amazing chicken sandwiches - I did not know this!!] and then the shopping began. A friend of mine had told me there was a Goodwill north of the Walmart in Coralville...which I was unaware of. It was a bust...probably mostly because I didn't want to look for clothes for my[huge]self...was only really focusing on BBB. The bulk of their children's clothes were all Halloween outfits. While the hubs loves Halloween...BBB won't be here yet for the upcoming holiday...so we'll have to wait till next year.

Next, we went to the reliable Stuff, Etc.
Can I just tell you how much I love this store?
It's ridiculously amazing.
I'm so sad and ashamed that I didn't know it existed until we started going to IC for our doctor appointments. It's amazing - especially the one in Coralville. It has a basement for crying out loud!!
I'm sad to report I didn't even make it to the basement... [where the "real" deals are]
nonetheless...I scored big time!!

See that?!
That's 10 pairs of pants/sweats [mostly 0-3month with a couple random 6month thrown in for good measure] and 7 onesies/pj's...
...for a grand total of $20.
Yes, I rock.
Plus, I scored a pair of Motherhood Maternity jeans for $9.
I can't wait to wear them Saturday...soooo comfy!!
When not at work I've been living in sweats because I haven't found any good deals on jeans I like yet, but that's about to change! :)

As I mentioned last week, mostly everything is bought/ready as far as the big things go, but little things still need done/organized. I basically feel the need to do a litttttttle something baby related each night, though.
So, last night I assembled the stroller and attached the car seat.
How flippin cute are they?!
I'm pumped.
I'm not sure why this particular thing made me excited...but it jump started something in me.
It made me realize that in 8 weeks or less we'll have a little [maybe...?] baby in there.
In 8 weeks or less we'll be driving on the interstate with a fragile bundle of love in the backseat.
I'm sure my nerves will be shot...I can't even imagine driving with a newborn...that'll be interesting.

Anyway...on to the routine.

32 weeks

Baby:
• weighs almost 4 pounds.
• is almost 19 inches long.
• is soooooooo active!!
[The doctor made mention of thinking it's funny how babies kick our livers. I'm not gonna lie...I'm not so sure I would know where my liver is well enough to know if that's what he's hitting...but he just loves trying to kick my ribs out of the way!!]
• has nails!!

Momma:
• is up 24 pounds from the first OB appointment. Yikes.
[It's typical to gain about a pound a week from here on out. I'm not going to like seeing the number on the scale ... from here on out.]
• is doing lots of reading about breastfeeding to try to prepare as much as possible.
[I was assured that a lactation specialist is included at no additional charge - def gonna be employing her help!]
• has decided to make a birth plan. Tips and advice are welcome.
[I wasn't going to make one, but after talking to doctor Monday she said it'd be a good idea that way the doctor/nurses on call will know my specific wants easily as they'll be in my chart.]
• doesn't sleep well at night.
[It is no longer comfortable to sleep on my right side more than 5 minutes at a time, so my neck and upper back are realllllly sore from constantly being on my left side.]
• can't sleep past 6am anymore.
[I don't think this is pregnancy related - but throwing it in there nonetheless.]

I suck at this whole self-baby-bump picture thing...but I took it in his room this morning so his bookshelf is in the background!! :)

I don't think you will need a lot of 0-3..Wes was out of that size in a week ;-)

If you like Wendy's chicken sandwiches you should get their chili also! Yum!

What is Stuff, Etc? What all do they sell there? Sounds like I'm missing out...

Love the stroller set! If I buy one in the future, I'm totally getting one like that. I love the dual features it has. Where did you get it at?
