4//Quote Me

I'm a quote-aholic, I believe. At one point in high school I had a blog (remember Xanga?!) dedicated solely to quotes. I'd link it here, but I'm not sure I remember the address. Haha

Obviously, I have a lot of favorite quotes, but I'm stuck between two today.

"Everything Happens For A Reason"

"If It Is To Be It Is Up To Me" (Hence the title of my blog.)

The second, my blog title, came to me through a dear friend. A few years ago we would exchange emails throughout the day at work. One day she sent me an email including the "10 most powerful two-lettered words." It's so true. It rang true then, several years ago, and it rings true today. I wish I lived more true to it. Sometimes I wish I would take life by the horns, so to speak.

Which slightly contradicts the other quote, which I've loved for years and tears. Whenever I'm feeling down or questioning "Why me?" I think of this quote. It is often so hard for us to see the reason or to believe that everything will work out for the best in the end, but we have to just have faith. The big Man upstairs has a plan much bigger than ourselves and we need to trust in that. Trust in Him.
