Choosing happiness . . .

Opposites attract, right?  That's what they say.  I couldn't agree more.  Wes & I are proof of this statement in many ways, but in this particular post I'd like to focus on:

balancing out each others' weaknesses.

I truly think that Wes & I do a great job of balancing out each others' weaknesses.  The one that stands out most that I have on my mind lately is Wes' light-hearted fun attitude.  For the most part, Wes is sarcastic, joking, and fun-spirited.  While I can be that way and want to be that way, I find myself (a lot more lately) being serious and worried.  Finances, work, school, and certain relationships stress me out.  It's hard for me not to worry about those things and spend time being stressed.  Wes, though, is always good at making sure I lighten up and laugh.  I love that about him (though in the moment sometimes I'm not as appreciative as I should be) and am grateful he is there to balance out my weakness.  I need to do a better job at letting Wes lighten me up.  I need to learn how to let go of the stress and truly just enjoy the day - life is too short.

So, my goal is to lighten up, enjoy the day, and be grateful that Wes is by my side to make me see the lighter side of things.  (That doesn't by any means mean that I can completely let go of the worrying - someone needs to keep things in order!!)

.............and then I found $20!!
(*haha That transition is thanks to my good friend, Brooke!*)

So I'm making a new unique supper tonight... I'm not even telling Wes exactly what's on it until after he tries it.  It's going to be a homemade pizza...but something completely new to us.  Stay tuned for a post about how it turns out!!

I completely agree with this! Josh and I are probably almost completely opposite as well. I'm a planner which tends to make me worry and he's a fly by the seat of his pants kind of person, but I think it's good to have both of those qualities so it's nice when you have someone to help you with the areas you need help in!
