This weekend was great. Wes & I got a lot of quality time which I summed up in Saturday's post.
Within that quality time meant going to a store I'd never been.
Stuff Etc.
I fell in love.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't a style blog and never will be.
Mostly because I have no style...
I feel like I got so many good finds, though, that I had to share!
I love going shopping at Goodwill and such with my good friend, Kenz , but feel like she always gets these awesome finds and I usually walk away with little to nothing.
Not this time, my friend...not this time!
Soon after Wes & I walked in, I felt it. I felt that I was going to have a hay day in this place!
I asked a worker as she walked around what time they closed.
8pm.
*looks at clock*
6:45pm.
I look at Wes and said "I feel like I'm in a shopping spree. I have an hour to scour this place...both this floor and the basement."
Being the good sport he was, he went his own way to look around and later found me...and brought me a cart. Have I mentioned I love this man...?
I focused mostly on getting either maternity stuff or XL/flowy articles of clothing.
So, here are my finds...
$2.40 Stretch waist - which means should be able to accomodate for most/all pregnancy.
$0.40 3 month onsie...Wes says our baby will be born this size (he's a giant), so hopefully it will at least fit Baby Beck the first week.....
$0.50
$2.80 (Excuse my foot - but notice I did paint my toenails!)
$2.10
$1.39 (Excuse the random line that Blogger likes to sometimes put in my pictures.)
$2.80
$2.99
$4.89 I stand corrected, this was my most expensive purchase. Maternity capris - which are coincidently the same color as my carpet.
$3.49 Khaki skirt.
These come to a total of a whopping $27.25 !!!!
I was pretty stoked - we'll def be going back.
In other news, we also managed to clean out the baby's room this weekend!!

See that...?! Bare floors!! The bookshelves will be staying in there and the walls will be repainted once we know gender. Time for a fresh start!!
Wes also was kind enough to bring in an old beaten up bookshelf from the garage to help manage the mess that was our entry way. I am was really good at just taking my shoes off when I got in the house and a pile would quickly eventually accumulate. It was unsightly (especially since it's the first thing you see when you walk in) and annoying. It's July and I still had my winter boots in that pile. I win.
After a good dusting and lots of Windex...it's clean, functioning, and fits!
Now I even have a place to put my keys and purse instead of throwing them on top of the dryer!

I also picked up some cocoa butter on our shopping trip Friday. Can never be too prepared!!
After all the hard work of the weekend was done, we pulled out our wedding cake from the freezer to let it come to room temperature.
Mmmm...
I know that looks like a lot of frosting (that was my first thought when I saw it last year, too), but it's seriously so good. It doesn't have that overwhelming sweetness and the blue doesn't taste artificial!
Soooo good!
How was your weekend?!

I finally went there for the first time today! your post reminded me that I keep hearing about how great it is and I needed something to do anyway, so we went on a little road trip. :) I found a lot of really cute stuff too.
oh and I'm exactly the same way with my shoes. My winter boots are still by our front door and by the time I get them put away it will probably be winter again.
I loooooove bargain shopping!! You got some amazing buys!!! Now i'm going to go into our Salvation Army and think I'm paying too much when the cheapest kid clothes are $.49 {most are $.99). :)
