30 weeks . . .

All week I kept thinking about how I needed to do my 30 week update.

This week seems so important. I'm not sure why...it doesn't mark any great change.

It doesn't make me full term, it doesn't make BBB some magical weight or length,

it doesn't make him at some magical milestone.

It's just great to go from 29 to 30.

To have the first digit in my "weeks" change from 2 to 3.

Stupid, right?

But it feels like a milestone.

It makes the whole thing seem closer.

Yet, it's going so slowly.

 

I'm not at 30w4d ... nine more weeks seems like a lifetime!

If you think about it, rather, in the time that has passed ... it's pretty amazing that we've already gone 30 weeks ...!

 

I'll be 31 weeks Wednesday, which will put me in the 8th month of pregnancy.

Wowza!!

Baby:

• is about 15.7 inches long and about 3 pounds.
• is getting smarter and smarter. ;)
[Brain growth and development is big this week.]
• loves Momma's ribs.
• has enough strength to grip a finger.
• loves when Momma lays on her side - he dances.

 

Momma:

• goes to the doctor the 15th for next appointment.
• is just starting to experience uncomfortableness.
[getting into the vehicle triggers a shooting pain in upper abdomen...
lots of feet pain...
lots of very low back pain...]

• put BBB's crib together Monday!!

 

 

• bought the mattress for the crib and baby bathtub [with the gift money coworkers gave].

• bought 3 swaddlers and a big ol' diaper bag [with the gift card insurance gave].
